Kleinzell is situated at an altitude of 470 m in the Halbach valley in the Lilienfeld district
of southern Lower Austria. Kleinzell has a population of about 845.
The saline spring of Salzerbad, which is part of the municipality, was already known as early as the 17th century when
it was used for the production of salt. The spa was founded in 1887.
