The valley Brunnental is located west of Steyrling in the Pyhrn-Priel region of southeastern Upper Austria.
Since 1878 the area is also the summer residence of the princes of Schaumburg-Lippe. The Schaumburg-Lippe forest holding covers an area of 7,000 hectares.
