The market town Weitersfeld is situated at an elevation of 441 m between the Waldviertel and Weinviertel regions of northern Lower Austria.
The 
parish church Sankt Martin [top right] dates back to the Gothic period.
The tower and nave were built in 1721–1713.
The splendid late Baroque and Rococo interior dates from 1774.
