3938 Bouzov Bouzov (German: Busau) is situated at an elevation of 445 m high above the valley of the Třebůvka in the Drahanská vrchovina uplands region of central Moravia in the west of the district Olomouc. The municipality has as a population of about 1,500 (2019).

The settlement originated below Bouzov castle, which was first mentioned in 1317. In 1695, the domains were acquired by the Teutonic Order, which remained in their possession until the end of manorialism in 1848/1849. Thereafter, Busau (in Czech: Bouzov) became an independent municipality in the district Littau (Litovel). However, since Busau was located far from the modern routes of transport, especially far from any railroads, the municipality declined. Today, however, Bouzov castle is a well-known tourist attraction.

Bouzov castle [left, no. 3938] was first mentioned in 1317. In the 16th century, the castle was remodeled in Renaissance style. During the Thirty Years' War (1618–1648) it was severely damaged. The Teutonic Order purchased the domains in 1695 and the castle was the restored as a summer residence for its then Grand Master, Archduke Eugen of Austria, the last secular Grand Master of the order. The architect responsible for the restoration in Historistic style was Georg von Hauberrisser (junior). The castle was confiscated by the Nazi government in 1939, occupied and looted by the Nazis during World War II. After the war the castle was confiscated again, this time by the Czechoslovak government and belongs to the National Monument Office. It is a well-known tourist attraction and has been used in a number of film productions. Since 1999 is listed as a National Monument.

Note: the official German name of Bouzov during the Austrian monarchy was Busau (with one 's' only). The labeling on this glass, however, uses the spelling Bussau (with 'ss').
