Neubruck is situated at an altitude of 566 m in the district of Scheibbs in southwestern Lower Austria.

The manor house [centre] was built by Andreas Töpper (1786–1872), the most important industrialist of the Austrian Monarchy around 1830. He founded several sheetmetal rolling mills in Styria and Lower Austria, one of them in Neubruck in 1820/23. He also was one of the first industrialists who created support places for old and sick labourers. An architectural jewel is the chapel that he had built in the park near his manor house in 1834.
