Aidlingen

ru: Айдлинген

1706 Aidlingen Aidlingen is located in the charming Heckengäu region about 10 km west of the district town Böblingen.

The area was inhabited at least since about 1800 BC. After the Alemanni had defeated the Romans they began to found settlements from the 16th century onward. Otelingen was first mentioned in a document which was forged in 1150 and pretended to date from 843. Until 1355 the village was in possession of the monastery Reichenau. Already 10 years later, in 1365, it came in possession of the counts of Württemberg. During the 19th century the rural community gradually developed into a place of residence of workers from neighbouring towns. The modern municipality of Aidlingen was formed in 1971 with the incorporation of the neighbouring communities of Dachtel and Deufringen.

The building depicted in the inset of the picture on glass no. 1706 is labeled "Adolf Roller".
