1777 Taloga, OK Taloga is situated at an elevation of 1,709 ft (521 m) in Dewey County, Oklahoma. According to the census of 2000 it has a population of 372. It is the county seat of Dewey County. The name Taloga is derived from an Indian word meaning "beautiful valley".

The picture on the glass is labeled Highway Bridge at Taloga, Okla. Built by Kansas City Bridge Co. 1915. Went out May 3rd 1914. The bridge for highway U.S. 183 spans the Canadian River approximately one mile north of Taloga. It is now named Emma Gary Bridge.
