The market town Neumarkt im Hausruckkreis is situated at an elevation of 388 m at the river Dürre Aschach in Upper Austria's district of Grieskirchen. It gained importance when it became a railway junction (Neumarkt-Kallham).
The parish church Sankt Florian [background right] was built 1892/1893.
